Hearing aids and related costs, including the cost of insuring your hearing aids, are considered medical expenses. Therefore, if you pay taxes, remember to talk to your accountant about the possibility of any tax rebate for these costs.

Hearing aid insurance made easy

Hearing aids can usually be covered as part of your home and contents insurance. You should talk to your insurance company about having your hearing aids listed as specified items. That way, whether your hearing aid is lost, broken, stolen, swallowed, crushed or flushed, you won’t have to pay full price to replace it.
